Lucky enough to grow up on Sydney's waterways in a boating family, David first learned to sail laser dinghies at the age of 12. This lead to competitively skippering lasers, ynglings, etchells, stars, 470s, 49ers and 18 foot skiffs, competing in 9 world sailing championships and being selected as a member of the Australian Olympic Squad in the 49ers. He has also competitively skippered a variety of 35-65ft sailing yachts.
David has also designed and built his own powerboat from scratch, owned and co-owned multiple sailing and motor yachts, providing extensive cruising experiences throughout Australian waterways.
Currently he and his wife Mel own a classic Norman Wright cruiser and enjoy spending time onboard with their teenage boys and two high energy Hungarian Vizslas.
David has also designed and built his own powerboat from scratch, owned and co-owned multiple sailing and motor yachts, providing extensive cruising experiences throughout Australian waterways.

Graduating from Mechanical Engineering at Sydney University and an MBA at Australian Graduate School of Management, David's career has included hands on and management positions in engineering and manufacturing across the automotive and marine sectors. His marine industry expertise includes leading an end-to-end manufacturing team and serving as the GM of Sales and Service at Riviera, Australia’s largest luxury motor yacht manufacturer.
He has also owned and operated several businesses where commercial experience included negotiation, team leadership, financial management and facilitation, particularly in business sale/purchase transactions and family business succession.
Now focused on helping current and future yacht owners identify and purchase the perfect boat for themselves, their loved ones and creating unforgettable experiences on the water.
